United Way Volunteer Nominee

Karen Reppen
2019 United Way Community Volunteer Nominee

Karen is a volunteer with many talents. She has helped us as a Death Awareness Coordinator and has done presentations at the Farley Center surrounding issues of death and dying. Her understanding about issues around death have been invaluable to many as she has been able to be a resource for many who are considering green burial or have the need to talk about their experience with death and dying.

Karen is also one of our Farley Center Artists - she participates on our every other year Land Art at the Farley Center. We have local artists come to the Center and create sculptures using natural materials in our Natural Path Sanctuary. These sculptures are exhibited for several months and in 2018 her piece was in an exhibit at the Overture Center. Karen also has participated in several of on-air commentaries and radio interviews to help promote the Center.
