United Way Volunteer Nominee

David Carlson
2019 United Way Community Volunteer Nominee

David is a unique volunteer in that he uses his art/woodworking skills. He has participated as a volunteer artist in 2015 and 2017 creating environmental land art in our Natural Path Sanctuary. He, along with other volunteer artists, created biodegradable sculptures. In 2018 his work was part of an an exhibit at the Overture for the Environmental Land Art at the Farley Center. David is now volunteering his time to carve a dead tree in front of the Center, bringing it back to life with his carvings. He is able to use his excellent woodworking skills to create beautiful carvings on the tree that reflect our mission. He clearly is talented and enjoys what he is doing and contributes his skills to our non profit.
