Patrick Norby is one of two Farley Center volunteer beekeepers. He started the Farley Center beekeeper incubator project to provide pollination for the crops grown at the Center, educate Center visitors regarding honeybees and create a habitat for honeybees to survive. He is in charge of running the program and helps do educational activities at the Center regarding bee education.
Our beekeeper incubator project promotes small-scale, sustainable beekeeping in Wisconsin by providing an environment and guidance to learn beekeeping. The pilot program ran from April through October 2017. Patrick worked with the beekeepers about every two weeks and three beekeepers have graduated from program. Patrick has now begun working with our second group of fledgling beekeepers, all on a volunteer basis, because he loves bees. He finds the time to volunteer alongside a full-time job at EPIC and his many family activities.
Thank you Patrick.
