Brendan Taaffe is an acclaimed musician and artist from Vermont who will be touring the Midwest in September, 2019. A multi-instrumentalist (fiddle, banjo, guitar, mbira) and a powerful singer, Brendan is also a crankie artist. Crankies are scrolling illustrations in a wooden box that accompany songs or stories and are the analog antidote to this age of digital saturation, enchanting children and adults alike with their magic.
