Kristi was an early advocate for establishing a green burial location in the Madison area. In the mid-2000s, she was a co-founder of the Trust for Natural Legacies (TNL), a nonprofit focused on finding a location for a local green cemetery. Kristi had once been invited out to Linda & Gene’s home and thought their beautiful land would be the perfect place! It was serendipitous that it came to be, through the love and dedication of the Farley family, Kevin Corrado (another member of TNL and friend of the Farleys), and many others. When the Natural Path Sanctuary was established as part of the Farley Center, Kristi served with Kevin, Steve Ventura and others as members of the cemetery’s board during the first few formative years. She enjoys visiting and still experiences the warmth and joy of the place and people every time!
