Susan Corrado

Susan Corrado was instrumental in helping the Farley Center become an organizational entity and attain its 501( C) (3) status. As the Center ‘Facilitator’ Susan had oversight of general operations and a coordinating role for the Center’s three focuses of peace and justice, farm incubator, and natural burial grounds. Susan and her husband Kevin Corrado lived on-site with Dr Gene Farley, until his death, tending to the wide variety of needs of a founding organization. Susan brought her experience in setting up a community-based wellness center in a low-income neighborhood, to help bring the Farley family’s vision to successful fruition.

As Facilitator she filled many shoes from administrative responsibilities to hosting groups attending educational sessions, burials, community gatherings, and fund raisers. Additionally, she coordinated student volunteers from University of Wisconsin, the broader community, and those interested in being orchard stewards. It was the connection to all the people who came through the Farley Center’s doors that brought great joy and meaning to her work. Susan expresses that having contributed to the Farley Center’s birth and to have experienced Gene Farley’s inspirational outlook, was a cherished honor.
