Dr. Rachel Byington

Dr. Rachel Byington, PhD, is a citizen of the Choctaw Nation of Oklahoma. She is a lifelong resident of Madison where she lives with her husband, youngest son and two dogs. She has two other grown children who have left the nest and 4 grandchildren.
Dr. Byington has dedicated her work to serve American Indian populations in urban and tribal communities. She completed her education at UW-Madison where she is currently employed as the Tribal Youth and Community Liaison supporting the Indigenous Arts and Sciences initiative for Earth Partnership. In her down time, Dr. Byington enjoys spending time with her family and friends, gardening, and hiking.
