Dust to Dust

We are dust, constantly formed and transformed. We are vessels, holding the rain until we are saturated, until we are full and can hold no more. Until our secrets release their power, our thirst runs out and we crack open. Until our mud dries to dust and we return to where we began.

This is on the mound beside the open grave. The grave, the beauty of this piece/peace being in Natural Path Sanctuary green burial grounds, is so appropriate.

Bio
Bobbette Rose is a mixed-media artist and designer who is greatly inspired by the rhythms and mysteries revealed through nature and the environment.

She is the Arts Coordinator for the Farley Center and has been volunteering since 2011. Bobbette got involved after meeting Gene Farley. They talked about the importance and value of the creative voice in the discussions around peace, justice and the environment. Since then, she has been creating art projects at the Center and inviting other area artists to join in as we celebrate and engage our creative spirits.
