When I stepped into the music of Earth Dance, I had no clue what might emerge. It began as a feeling about a place on the land that caught my eye, and invited me to stop, ponder, and play. I let myself respond to ideas that emerged over time as I visited the site.
Karen Reppen is a mixed-media artist, workshop facilitator, hospice worker, and Buddhist practitioner. Influenced by experience gained as a professional and volunteer hospice worker and end-of-life educator, her work often includes themes meant to invite the viewer into related to aging, illness, death, and grief. This was Karen’s fourth installation at the Farley Center.
