Catch and Release

Bobbette Rose

This dream catcher, a tangle of wood and thin threads creates a net to capture and release our dreams and hopes. It’s made from dropped branches, coated with beeswax colored with spices (tumeric and paprika) and non-toxic earth and mineral pigments, tied and wrapped with twine and cotton threads.

I originally created and hung this piece in the Natural Path Sanctuary woods in 2015. Each year I continue to add to it. More dreams to capture, more to release. This image is of the 2017 version.
