“Shell Umbrella” is the embodiment of both physical and emotional safety. The interior is lined with gestural sketches, prints, etc. I have created that hold and depict important aspects to my emotional sanctuary: loved ones, creativity, and memories. The exterior is a coil of local newspapers and defines the mindless spending on unnecessary products and services as well as all the published events documenting our destructive ways.
